Get ready for an unforgettable 3-day East Java adventure exploring three iconic destinations: Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and Ijen Crater with its famous blue fire phenomenon. This journey combines natural wonders, scenic landscapes, and thrilling volcanic experiences.

Day 1: Bromo Sunrise – Transfer to Hotel in Malang / Lumajang Area

Get ready for a magical early morning adventure to Mount Bromo! Our friendly and experienced driver will pick you up around 11:45 PM from Surabaya or Malang (hotel, airport, or train station). The journey to the Bromo area takes approximately 3 hours. Once we arrive in the highlands, you’ll switch to a 4WD Jeep to begin the exciting ride through rugged terrain and volcanic sand. Your destination is the sunrise viewpoint – the most iconic spot to witness the beautiful sunrise over Bromo.

As the sun rises above the misty horizon, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Mount Bromo’s active crater, the majestic Mount Semeru (the highest volcano in Java), Mount Batok, and the vast Sea of Sand stretching below. After sunrise, your adventure continues across the Sea of Sand toward the base of Mount Bromo. From there, you can hike or ride a horse up the slope and climb the stairs to the crater rim, where you’ll feel the warmth and energy of the active volcano. Before heading back, take time to explore Luhur Poten Temple, a sacred Hindu temple nestled in the caldera. You’ll then enjoy a warm, traditional Indonesian breakfast at your hotel before continuing the journey to Malang or Lumajang area, with a lunch break along the way.

Day 2: Tumpaksewu Waterfall

After an early wake-up and breakfast at hotel, we’ll drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Explore the panoramic viewpoint, hike down to the base of the waterfall, and optionally explore Goa Tetes offering a mix of natural adventure and photo opportunities. Then we’ll drive to hotel near the Bondowoso area with a lunch break along the way.

Day 3: Ijen Crater – Drop Off (Surabaya / Malang)

At 11:30 PM, your driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Paltuding (trekking point), the starting point of the Ijen Crater trek. Begin your early morning hike to witness the otherworldly Blue Fire phenomenon, a rare natural event visible only in a few places on Earth.
After reaching the crater rim, enjoy stunning views of the turquoise acidic lake, active sulfur mining operations, and sunrise over the Ijen Plateau.
After the descent, your journey ends with a drop-off in Surabaya, Malang, or Ketapang Port (by request).
